Happy New Year to all! Whether you were ringing it in at midnight in your time zone, or whether you turned in early, if you’re reading this, it means you’ve made it alive into another year, and that’s cause for celebration! I think I mentioned in my last blog post how I feel about New Years resolutions – I don’t generally like the term. It seems to be this ever so elusive term we chase each year, only to be disappointed when we can’t do X, Y, or Z at some point, and then beat ourselves up for “failing.” However, I’m all about setting goals and intentions, and choosing a theme(s) I want to follow me throughout the year. One of my goals for this year is simple: blog more. Simply blog more. Now, it’s not necessarily as easily as “simply blogging,” because it takes mental and physical energy, but another one of my goals this year is to further let go of perfectionism and learn to be okay with not saying every detail that comes to mind. Hopefully this will make the blog a more enjoyable experience for you, the readers, with some shorter posts throughout the year (although I do hope to detail my IV treatment all along the way when I AM able to start), and will help me, as a writer, not feel pressured to make each post super deep and lengthy and detailed. I’ll also be incorporating my vlog content on this blog as often as I’m able, but if you want to get every (mostly) daily vlog update, I recommend subscribing to my channel. And with that said, I actually want to share a couple videos with you. This first video is made up of a few clips from an Instagram story and lasts about 45 seconds, summing up what my number one theme for 2018 is, along with the number one thing I’m leaving in 2017 to make 2018 the best it can be. And, I wanted to share with you the vlog from New Year’s Eve, the latest on my channel (uploaded today). So, what is YOUR theme for 2018? What are YOU taking with you into 2018 and what are you leaving behind in 2017 to make 2018 the best it can be? Whatever your answers, I hope and pray you all have a wonderful year, and that blessings are abundant in your life, regardless of how hard things may get at times. Becca
