Making your own fun/smiles: Chronic illness, wedding anniversary (and awesome caregiver of a husband) edition.
Hello friends, long time, no post. Again, I apologize for the absence to any of you who may visit this site from time to time. Health-wise I just wasn't able to do much for awareness during he month of May, including posts on here. And I'm sad to say it, but that's what the story has been for most of this year. When you add to that the extra stress and anxiety issues that have been going on for several months, it's been a pretty inactive year on the blog (thus far, that is...I refuse to accept it as a finality or something that will continue indefinitely, because I know God is in the process of refining me so I can be delivered when the right time comes, and healing includes restoring my ability to write coherently and regularly).
Since that's now out of the way, rather than bogging you down with a long explanation of the following link/video, I'll embed the video here, so you can enjoy it as much as I did (well maybe not quite as much, since I have the original memory to go with it and since it's my husband, but you'll enjoy it. You can also see/read the story behind the video of you visit the external link on ellentube, itself.). We're just excited to be given the chance to attract attention from an internationally known and loved TV personality, and we're asking you to share (the video itself, not this blog post, although you can share this post so others can see this request, as well) so hopefully it can reach others who may be fighting these illnesses and need a reminder that yes, your marriage/relationships can withstand these trials and make you stronger and even help you grow closer together in many ways, specifically spiritually. You just have to go out of your way sometimes (this works both ways) and find ways to make your own fun and make each other feel special (this is something we try to do on a regular basis, and I gotta say, Rog nailed it with this anniversary gift–based off my favorite memory from our honeymoon in Disney in 2011–don't know that I've ever had such a big smile in my heart (and on my face!). :-)
TL;DR ROG MADE IT ONTO ELLENTUBE with the video he made me for our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday (6/18/16).
