Lyme steals, God heals: Raw and uncut video exercise in vulnerability and claiming your healing, even when/if it hasn't been delivered fully...yet.
Hey guys, I know I've been way off my blogging game this past year, and I apologize for that, but I'm gonna assume (I know, bad of me, but it's really an educated hypothesis) if you're reading this, you likely understand:
1.) How difficult it can be to use electronics regularly for things like blogging, which takes more time and brain power than tweeting, posting a pic on Instagram, etc.
2.) How much energy it takes to compose a post (especially when I have a penchant for making novel-length posts)
3.) Postings on blogs by/about/for those in their healing journey from chronic Lyme, coinfections, or other chronic illnesses in general, mental or physical, are often sparse depending on which ever stage of healing the author is experiencing at any given moment, affecting his/her ability to consistently post, or post anything substantial.
4.) If you've been her before, on this page, whether you know me or not, you may have realized I operate on principles of complete transparency (I call it my "open-book of life" policy, not to be confused with the actual Lamb's Book of Life, of course, though with my Christian Hip-Hop calling, and a larger ministry calling of which He's yet to reveal the specifics to me, I don't think it coincidence I came up with that somewhat silly term, subconsciously channeling His Spirit, which is something I'm trying to do on a daily basis, more consistently than ever before)
This last reason is why I was moved by the Spirit to make this video (it was originally a broadcast on periscope, you can find me on there if you want be searching: gramamticallyso). I don't have the brain power to type everything I explained in the video, and the video isn't as eloquent as I'd like to be, myself, but again–transparency is key.
(If you're unfamiliar with periscope, I won't bore you with app details, other than to say they only keep the videos/replays (scopes) available for 24 hours, so it's up to the broadcaster if they want to save their scope and share it elsewhere. I'll also quickly note that you'll hear me address others as if I'm talking to them, and that's because on the Periscope app itself, people have the ability to chat/type messages to you, to which you can reply aloud. It also only films in portrait format, so you landscape-loving-portrait-style-video/haters, I apologize for the format.)
(Shoutout to a wonderful friend who helped me stay on track when I lost my train of thought quite a few times!)
I'm sharing it here, with all of you, in the interest of transparency, and maybe, just maybe, one of you will find something encouraging from this. I was able to make it a couple days ago, first scope in months, and haven't been able to do another since, but it was 100% worth it.
I want to make this declaration first, though, a reminder for all of us; transparency doesn't mean we only share the bad, it mean sharing it ALL. And this is a message of HOPE and HEALING and JOY. All of which you CAN experience to the fullest while fighting these illnesses. Believe me. Even in the midst of your worst pain days, you can experience hope for promised healing, and joy unmatched by any other.
The video is not blacked out except for the first few seconds, which happened simply because it took me a few second to turn my camera around to face me. And the first few minutes I'm trying to get the lighting right so you can see me, which is also fixed after those first few minutes.
Whatever steps you are able to take today, no matter how small they are, I urge you to do it, even if you don't feel 100% up to it. I don't feel like walking 10-15 feet to the bathroom right now (my joints would rather crawl or be carried), but I'm not letting the enemy win this battle right nk–and there's more about that in the video above. I hope it's able to encourage at least one of you, if only by knowing you're not alone and hope DOES exists.
(Now if you'll excuse me, I have 10-15 feet of walking to do; something I've not been able to do for the better part of 2 years.)
May God's blessings be poured out abundantly in your life,
